Model 663-11 Sandwich Si / InGaAs Detector

Silicon/Indium Gallium Arsenide (Si/InGaAs) Two Color Detectors are unique detectors consist of 2 active elements, each with a different spectral response, mounted in a coaxial configuration. The top detector has normal operating characteristics and acts like a filter to the bottom detector. The bottom detector behaves with its normal characteristics except that its spectral response is modified by the top detector element. Our standard 2-color detector is a Si/InGaAs combination. Operational in the 250 - 1600 nm region this single detector permits extended scanning from the UV-VIS well into the near infrared. Model 663-11 two color Si/InGaAs Sandwich Detector for ~250-nm to 1.6-microns, 2.5 mm diameter Si mounted above a 2 mm diameter InGaAs, 2 stage TE cooler with controller, may be operated DC or modulated. This high performance photodiode/receiver is operated with a thermoelectric cooler for stabilization/cooling and features a dual gain input transimpedence amplifier. The output voltage is proportional to the input signal. The photodiode amplifier is a DC coupled dual gain system. Care should be taken in shielding the unit from stray light during operation to prevent saturation of the amplifier (and potential failure). Comes with bias supply, TE cooler control, and is mounted to a mounting flange.

This detector is most often used with McPherson UV-Vis and NIR monochromator and spectrometer systems.
