Model 663-13 Lead Selenide (PbSe) Detector for one to 5.0-microns, 2 x 2-mm square active area, 2-stage TE cooler with controller, should be used with modulated (chopped) signals to reduce noise. This high performance photoconductor/receiver is operated with a thermoelectric cooler for stabilization/cooling and features a dual gain voltage amplifier. The detector’s bias voltage is linked to the amplifier power supply and no additional biasing is necessary. The photoconductor amplifier is AC coupled, dual gain system requiring a modulated input signal for operation. Comes with bias supply, TE cooler control, and is mounted to a mounting flange.
This detector is most often used with McPherson NIR and IR monochromator and spectrometer systems.
