Vacuum Polarizer / Analyzer Unit
Unique polarizer unit operates in vacuum (to 10-6 torr) or inert gas purge environments. It is available with NW40 entrance and exit ports and holds and rotates cube-type beam splitting polarizers (e.g. Rochon types) up to 100-mm long. Straight through beams are linearly polarized. Ordinary or extraordinary beam separation depends on the specific polarizer.
The polarizer rotational mount can be inserted and retracted for clear or polarized beam passage. Actuator operates under vacuum and an engraved scale and view port allow 360-degree polarizer rotation with 1-degree readout resolution. This accessory is equipped with a standard NW40 ports for easy connection to your experimental system. It is also used in McPherson systems, the VUVaS Spectrophotometer, for example.
