ROTOSPEC 1 (TM)

Measure reflectance, transmission, fluorescence, phosphorescence and lifetime of most samples. The new McPherson ROTOSPEC 1 (TM) Spectrophotometer is ideal for characterization of special effect pigments, e.g., metallic, pearlescent, multilayer and diffractive. In addition, background fluorescence can be measured or excluded from measurements to determine true colors.

The innovative McPherson design of the ROTOSPEC 1 (TM) features monochromatic illumination and a goniometric sample mount surrounded by the revolving and detecting emission spectrometer. The emission unit allows transmission detection and other events at any continuously tunable angle from about 10° to 180°.

The ability to continuously alter illuminated angle of incidence and sample angle facilitates use with diffractive or irregular samples. All reflective optics insure optimal throughput. Other distinctive features available with the ROTOSPEC 1 (TM) include environmental controls in the sample area, accelerated aging, diffuse and annular illumination and CCD detection accessories.
